Ginger Martini / Peartini Recipe
- 8 ounces boiling water
- 2 ginger tea bags
- 3 ounces of vodka
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 4 teaspoons of Pear and Clove Simple Syrup (recipe below)
- 1 cup of ice
In a large mug, add the tea bags to 8 ounces of boiling water. Let the tea bags steep for 5 minutes (or until desired strength is reached), then discard the tea bags. Let tea cool.
Making one drink at a time, add ½ of each of the following: tea, vodka, lemon juice, simple syrup and ice to a cocktail shaker. Shake for 20 seconds until mixed and chilled.
Strain into serving glass. Repeat steps for second serving.
Garnish: Pear slices studded with cloves
Pear & Clove Simple Syrup
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 pear, sliced
- 8 whole cloves
- In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, pear and cloves. Bring to a boil and continue boiling until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat, strain, and cool. Syrup may be stored in a glass container for one week.
