Tim Scott

Wenatchee, Wash.

Many people would not consider farming to provide the rush of excitement that would fuel an adrenaline junkie. Then again, many people have not met Tim Scott. He thrives on the challenges that Mother Nature doles out during the growing season and revels in the thrill of producing a great crop of fruit no matter what she hurls his way. Born and raised in Wenatchee, Washington, Tim is responsible for Rainier Fruit Company’s most northern ranches. As much as he dreaded the daily farm duties in his teens when his friends were all up at the lake, Tim has realized that there is no greater reward than the satisfaction of delivering a fine crop of fruit to market.

Favorite way to enjoy the fruit you grow:
Fresh off the tree, of course!

Where do you see yourself if you weren’t farming:
Is cattle rancher in Montana considered farming?

Most shocking/crazy farm moment:
A 4-seat Beechcraft airplane crashed in one of our orchards.
